Dr. Shellie Smith was born and raised in Missouri City, TX. She attended and received a Dual Bachelors Degree in Psychology & Kinesiology- Wellness Management from Houston Baptist University in 2005. She received three Dean's List Honors at HBU and played collegiate level basketball on a scholarship.
Dr. Smith has over 5,200 class hours completed in Health, Nutrition, Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation, X-Ray, Wellness, and Chiropractic. Dr. Shellie is a part of a network of trusted Physicians, Nurse Practicioners, Orthopedics, ENT's, and Cardiologist. Since graduating, Dr. Smith is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the American Black Chiropractic Association and the Texas Chiropractic Association. She is also a Certified Medical Examiner in which she conduct Federal Fitness for Duty Physicals for CDL drivers through the Department of Transportation.
Following HBU, Dr. Smith then attended and received both a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology and her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, TX in 2010 (Texas License #14507). She also obtained three Dean's List Honors at TCC which qualified her for the Omega Psi Honors Society Credentials.
In August 2025, Dr. Shellie N. Smith obtained her fifth degree, a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from Houston Christian University. She was awarded a lifetime award from the National Honors Society in Psychology and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She provides services now as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counelor) Associate under the supervision of Keona Harris LPC-S. She operates under the compliance of the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) and the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors (TSBEPC). All services adhere to the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics. Texas License #100322
She has many truck drivers in her family and fully understands the demands of truck driving. She practices today at Healthcare Solutions and is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) , the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME).
